✅ PICK OF THE WEEK

Madison Square Garden Sports (NYSE: MSGS)
Current Share Price: $330.88 ($8.06 billion market cap)

  • Company owns the Knicks and Rangers -- two iconic teams -- and a minor league affiliate of each. Knicks alone have to be worth at least $10B, a 20% premium over the company’s $8B market cap today - so consider the Rangers and the affiliates to be "gravy"

  • With sports as one of the few remaining "fully human" pursuits, leagues and teams are bound to grow their reach and value, especially the NBA which has global reach

  • Private equity is likely to keep driving capital into the ecosystem and boosting prices

  • Both teams are in long-term championship droughts, which at some point has to end (right?) and have had relatively poor management which can only improve, both of which will boost future value

  • It's a long bet on NYC and both teams benefit from being here as well

Need a break from high interest?

The right card can give you time—and real savings. Take advantage of 0% intro APR on purchases for an extended period and 0% intro APR on balance transfers for up to 21 months, so you can focus on paying down your balance without added interest.

It’s a simple way to consolidate debt, reduce interest costs, or finance a large purchase with more flexibility. Many of these offers also come with no annual fee, helping you save even more from day one.

Whether you’re tackling existing balances or planning ahead, a long intro APR period can make a big difference—giving you the breathing room you need.

👨‍🏫 TODAY'S EXPERT

Eric Cantor is co-founder and CEO at Vincent where he is making private market asset investing easier for the everyday investor. Eric is an experienced entrepreneur with two exits, and a global investor in more than 90 early-stage tech companies and a diverse set of alternative assets.

📺 EVENT REPLAY

Vincent co-founder Slava Rubin and Sacra co-founder Jan-Erik Asplund take an in-depth look at new public funds that offer investors access to private shares in companies on the path to an IPO — like SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic. They break down how these vehicles are structured and, more importantly, what investors are actually getting exposure to under the hood.

📰 NOTABLE NEWS

🏡 Homebuilder confidence falls: The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index fell four points to 34, the lowest mark in eight months and well below the benchmark of 50 that indicates a neutral rating. Expectations for the rest of the year fell dramatically, as rising oil prices, inflation, and declines in consumer demand are hitting the real estate market hard.

🪙 Morgan Stanley tokenization push: The CFO of the major Wall Street bank said that the company is anticipating a “tokenized world” that will allow its clients to move it assets freely across its wealth management platforms. Morgan Stanley also recently launched a Bitcoin ETF, making it clear it views digital assets as a core part of its future.

🍷 Rare wine auction: Two magnums of an exceedingly rare 1870 Chateau Lafite that has previously been hidden in a Scottish castle for a century are being auctioned today at Sotheby’s and expected to sell for more than $50,000 each.

🤖 Attacks on Sam Altman: Twice this week, the San Francisco home of the OpenAI CEO has been targeted, once by a man throwing a Molotov cocktail, and once by a couple who fired a gun at the property.

🏢 Retail holds steady: Nationwide vacancy rates stayed flat in Q1, and with construction levels low and outdated stock being removed from the market, a supply crunch is coming that should see increased rents.

💵 Private credit in Japan: Private credit funds more than doubled their fundraising in Japan over the last year, even as the sector has started to struggle in the U.S. It is a good reminder that investing is a global endeavor and looking beyond domestic trends is important.
