🚀 SPACEX SHARE SALE
Elon Musk-led space startup SpaceX is reportedly planning to launch a share sale at an $800 billion valuation, which would be double its last valuation and again make it the most valuable private company in the world after it was eclipsed by OpenAI earlier this year. Reports indicate that the company could be targeting an IPO in late 2026 that would include its lucrative Starlink internet service, which has previously been a candidate to be spun out into its own business.
➨ TAKEAWAY: SpaceX conducts regular tender offers twice a year and has seen steady growth in its valuation, but this kind of leap in value would be a departure for the company. Musk himself denied the reports, so take it with a grain of salt. Still, SpaceX remains one of the most desirable private companies and the prospect of an IPO next year could juice its valuation in secondary markets.
